On Eagles Wings 4 UL

On Eagles Wings

Mission Statement

On Eagles Wings 4UL offers immediate, short term or transitional housing for hurting, needy single women without children.

Vision Statement:

There are many reasons a single woman may be in need of immediate, short term or transitional housing. Some of the reasons could be abuse (physical or mental), joblessness that leads to homelessness, drug or alcohol addictions or women in need of a safe haven from sex trafficking. There are not as many homelike shelters / facilities in the city of Milwaukee as we believe are needed for single women without children. “On Eagles Wings 4UL” exists is to help fulfill this need in our community.

At "On Eagles Wings 4UL", our vision is to provide a home where a woman can be encouraged and nurtured.  Our residents will receive a bedroom that she may or may not share with one other roommate if there is an overcrowding issue. A comfortable room equipped with their own dresser and bed.  Our residents are given time to get in touch with themselves, are offered life-changing encouragement through Christian-based programs and support to assist them in rebuilding their lives.  Residents needing more time will be allowed to stay longer. This will eliminate the need for them to be forced to live in undesirable conditions or situations while giving them time to heal, get back on their feet, and change the direction of their lives.

You may wonder what “4UL” means at the end of the name “On Eagles Wings 4UL.  It means “For You Lord”. We rest our faith and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our foundational Scripture is Isaiah 40:31

Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”
